Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with you.

Location and Scouting Data
Precise Geolocation: With your explicit permission, we collect GPS coordinates, elevation, and location metadata to enable scouting features, geotag photo spots, and provide directional mapping.
Scouted Content: Photos, descriptions, notes, timestamps, lighting/sun angles, tags, and saved favorites that you record within the app.
Device and Technical Information
Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, IP address, crash logs, and general performance analytics collected automatically to diagnose bugs and maintain platform stability.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following operational purposes:
To create, maintain, and authenticate your ShotSpot account.
To provide core location-scouting functionality, including map plotting, coordinate saving, and spot organization.
To sync your saved spots and preferences across devices via our backend database.

To respond to customer support inquiries and send administrative notices regarding your account.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or saved location coordinates to third-party data brokers or advertisers.
3. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
We share your data only with trusted third-party service providers essential to running ShotSpot:
Backend and Database Infrastructure: We use Supabase to host our database, manage secure authentication sessions, and store user-generated content under strict data protection protocols.
Authentication Providers: When logging in via Apple or Google, identity verification requests are processed directly by their respective authentication systems in accordance with their privacy guidelines.
Cloud Storage and Hosting: For secure storage of images, spot metadata, and app assets.
We may also disclose your information if required to do so by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of ShotSpot, its users, or the public.
4. Data Security and Retention
We implement standard administrative and technical safeguards to protect your personal information and scouting data against unauthorized access, destruction, or alteration. Authentication sessions are encrypted using secure token standards.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data and saved scouting spots from our active databases, subject to any legal obligations to retain specific records.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Location Permissions: You can enable, modify, or disable ShotSpot's access to your device location at any time through your mobile device system settings. Disabling location services will restrict certain mapping and automatic geotagging features.
